NVision Solutions Inc. COO Craig Harvey recently traveled to Toulouse France as part of a geospatial trade delegation along with Mississippi Secretary of State Delbert Hosemann, Adam Murray and Josh Bower with MDA, and Greg Hinkebein, President of the Mississippi Enterprise for Technology (MsET).

Two years ago NVision started an initiative to open new geospatial markets and partnerships in France ,Canada, South America, and Asia. Under this initiative Harvey visited Canada four times, France twice, Switzerland once, and plans to visit Japan this year.  During these trips Harvey utilized both MDA and the U.S. Commercial Service Gold-Key service which provide essential services for foreign business development.   Harvey is also now a Miss. delegate-elect for the U.S. Department of Commerce District Export Council.  After the recent trip to France Harvey went to Montreal, Canada for a meeting hosted by Inter LogiQ Network. “Our goal is to expand our presence in Canada as well as leverage Canadian companies’ expertise to improve our competitive capabilities in both countries, explained Harvey.

At the 2008 Toulouse Space Show in Toulouse, France. Grande Toulouse, an Economic Development group similar to Mississippi Development Authority, hosted the trip. The delegation visited the the Cecile Group, the French sister organization of MsET, where they attended presentations by leading French technology innovators. The Cecile group visited Mississippi on several occasions and because of their proximity to CNES (the French equivalent of NASA); they feel a special relationship with the business community in and near NASA's Stennis Space Center.

NVision signed two agreements at the 2007 Geneva Space Show in Switzerland with French companies, Polestar, Magellium, Intuilab, and Novacom to bring their cutting-edge, technology to the U.S. as a distributor and partner.

Last year, Harvey attended the Space Show in Geneva, Switzerland where he signed a memorandum of understanding with these companies to pursue the agreements now in place. NVision is working to bring various technologies including vehicle and sensor array tracking, affordable, large-format, multi-nodal touch screen technology, and handheld personal navigation devices for e-tourism.

The diligent work over the past three years in collaboration with MDA, the US Commercial Service, MsET, and EIGS is opening international markets to technologies developed in Southern Mississippi.
