MS-FAST Program Awards Two Contracts to NVision Solutions
December 9, 2003 - Stennis Space Center
NVision Solutions Inc. received notice of two contract awards totaling $6,000 from the MS-FAST program for Phase 0 Small Business Innovative Research (SBIR) proposals.
The competitive awards fund NVision to research, write, and submit SBIR proposals to NOAA in an attempt to win a Phase 1 grant through the 2004 SBIR program.
NVision's research topics are "A Real-Time Web-Based Data Processing Engine and Multi-Hazard Contingency Tool (MHCT)" and "Geo Data Stream" which both propose pioneering strategies using the Internet to answer challenges in the geospatial industry.
NOAA is one of ten federal government agencies participating in the SBIR program including NASA which awarded NVision a Phase I research grant earlier this year.
NVision is a small, minority, and woman-owned GIS and Remote Sensing solutions company with offices at the NASA Stennis Space Center in Mississippi and Slidell, Louisiana.
The MS-FAST Program is a federal and state technology partnership which includes the U.S. Small Business Administration, the Mississippi Technology Alliance and a consortium of state universities led by the University of Southern Mississippi.
