NVision
Solutions Inc., is pleased to announce the release of its new NIMSmart program
which helps schools comply with grant requirements from the US Department of
Education and in some cases state governments.
The
safety of children in schools from bullying, terrorism, disasters and other
threats is a significant national concern.
The Department of Education provides grants as part of the 30-million
dollar Readiness and Emergency Management for Schools (REMS) program. Schools must have a comprehensive emergency
management plan compliant with federal standards to be eligible. The grants
help schools provide training, buy resources, and improve critical
infrastructure related to school safety.
NVision's
NIMSmart software provides an easy-to-use wizard and templates which guide school
officials through the process of creating a plan quickly. NVision is selling the software through its
website at http://www.NVisionSolutions.com.
"Our company has a strong focus on emergency management and homeland security," said NVision President Socorro Harvey, "The safety of children in schools is one of the most important initiatives we need to support as a country."
More information can be found on the NIMSmart product page.
