CSC (NYSE: CSC) recently added NVision Solutions Inc. to its team for the Total Application Services for Enterprise Requirements (TASER) indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity (IDIQ) contract by the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency (NGA).
The IDIQ, awarded in late 2010, has a five-year period of performance and an estimated total value of $1 billion for all firms. The team will focus on evaluating and integrating new technology and sustaining applications. CSC is one of the largest IT firms in the world and NVision is a leading geospatial technology integrator.
From September 2007 until 2011, CSC and NVision participated in the Department of Defense Mentor-Protégé Program in which CSC mentored NVision to provide business and technical assistance to help NVision grow into a larger prime contractor. The Mississippi Technology Alliance (MTA) naming NVision the "Fastest Growing Company in Mississippi" in 2009.
"We are very pleased to be working with CSC, our mentor company," said NVision President Socorro Harvey, "Our combined capability will allow us to better serve NGA."
CSC is one of 18 prime contractors awarded a spot on the IDIQ. According to NGA the TASER contract will "make the acquisition process more agile and focused on developing capabilities in line with overall geospatial intelligence needs." << Back to News Archive
